The COVE is located in Suffolk, VA, a short 30-minute drive from Smithfield, VA. Simply take US-258 heading south and follow it until you hit US-17. Turn right on US-17 to head south and follow the road into Suffolk. Once in town, you’ll turn left onto College Dr., then make a right on University Blvd. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Prices Fork Blvd. Turn left onto Hampton Roads Pkwy and our hospital will be on your right.

We accept referrals from general veterinarians for all our specialty services which include cardiology, surgery, and dentistry. We are staffed with experts in the field, including board-certified specialists, who ensure your pet gets the very best care possible.

Our surgical department is led by a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary SurgeonsDr. Jeff Stallings, who is one of the most respected veterinary surgeons in the area. He performs many of the most advanced and complex procedures available, as well as routine surgeries, including:

  • Advanced soft-tissue surgeries
  • Oncologic (cancer) surgeries
  • Minimally invasive surgeries (including but not limited to thoracoscopy, laparoscopy and arthroscopy)
