Kylie Schneider
Kylie has always had a love for animals, helping others, and an interest in medicine. So naturally, she was drawn to veterinary medicine. Kylie joined Team COVE in 2015, as a Hospital Care Attendant. Shortly thereafter, she advanced to a Veterinary Assistant position all while being a full time student at Old Dominion University (ODU). Following her graduation from ODU with a BS in Biology in 2016, she was accepted to attend the Veterinary Technology Program at Blue Ridge Community College. In 2018, Kylie graduated from that program and passed her VTNE. It was then, she officially earned those three coveted letters behind her name, “LVT” (Licensed Veterinary Technician). After becoming licensed, she returned to The COVE where she was a LVT in our emergency and intensive care department. During this time, Kylie discovered her true love for anesthesia and pain management. In 2019, she transitioned to our anesthesia department. Since joining the anesthesia department, Kylie has enjoyed being able to instill confidence in our pet parents that their beloved companion is well cared for before, during, and after their anesthetic procedure. She has more recently taken it a step further by providing training to our team and local veterinary hospitals to share her anesthesia knowledge and passion. In 2023, Kylie was promoted to Anesthesia Team Lead.
In her free time, Kylie enjoys being outdoors and walking trails around the area with her husband, daughter, and four-legged fur child, Tally.
