So I received a referral to The COVE because my regular vet was unable to assist when I brought in my kitten that had some type of infection on his mouth. Turns out it was dental floss that he got caught in his jaw and somehow swallowed and got caught in his throat. I was told he would probably need 2 surgeries. I tried to bring him that day on Saturday afternoon and was told the wait could be up to 4-5 hours and that Sundays are the busiest day. So I left work early on Monday to bring him in the early afternoon.

Fast forward we walk in and are immediately greeted. It’s a very pleasant waiting area with lots of windows so its nice and bright. They have a TV and tons of magazines. They even provide bottled water and some candies to munch on. We waited less than 5 minutes before we were taken to a room. A nurse immediately came in and took all of our information that was not listed on the referral. She then took my kitten (Catboy) away. A doctor came in not too long after and explained what she thought needed to be done which included x-rays and some other things. She gave best and worst case scenarios.  The nurse came back in with an estimate to get consent. It was a bit pricey but not unrealistic for a doctors office. A short while later the nurse came back in to advise that they were able to get the floss out and it wouldn’t require any surgeries or x-rays. Hallelujah! They came back in with a revised bill that included medicines that was cheaper than the original estimate that only included diagnostic. To say I was happy was an understatement. And to top it off we only spent 2 hours there.

All in all I was very pleased with The COVE and their professionalism. I hope I never have to return but a great place if you need emergency assistance for your pet.
