HOW TO KNOW IF IT’S A PET EMERGENCY
In a medical emergency, minutes matter. If your pet is injured in an accident or you notice any of the following signs or symptoms, please bring your pet in immediately. If you’re not sure if pet emergency care is necessary, please call us anytime, day or night, at 757-935-9111.
- Rapid breathing
- Lack of appetite, distended or painful abdomen
- Change in body temperature (heatstroke/frostbite)
- Loss of consciousness
- Seizures
- Weakness or inability to stand
- Paralysis
- Excessive bleeding
- Pale gums
- Excessive vomiting or diarrhea
