Here at The COVE, we understand that the stress of an emergency or specialty visit for your pet is heightened when you can’t go into the clinic. Importantly, each of our team members strives to provide personal and compassionate care during every aspect of the emergency visit or appointment – from the initial phone call, to when your pet is picked up from the car, to the follow-up with our veterinarians. It is also stressful for our staff who miss interacting with our clients but continue to work tirelessly during this pandemic.
So, we want to thank our clients who have been understanding, patient, kind, and appreciative of our staff during this challenging time. It has been a joy to read the heart-warming and thoughtful reviews our clients have shared online. To add some light and positivity to our long days, we are sharing some of the most compassionate and uplifting stories below.
Compassionate Care 24/7
Since I volunteer in animal rescue, I have more after-hour animal emergencies than most. I am extremely thankful for The COVE. The staff is always professional and caring. The doctors take the time to explain what is needed and answer all my questions. My animal is always taken right back for assessment. If I have to wait, I understand they are working on an emergency situation. That’s the nature of what they do. THANK YOU to all the wonderful staff at The COVE. You’ve been there time and time again for my fur babies and me.

The COVE team is top-notch and go above and beyond to help an animal in need. My dog was injured and needed medical help, and I called The COVE and they were able to see him immediately. Right now, COVID-19 has changed a lot of things. So, when you arrive, you call, and the staff comes out and grabs your fur baby to be taken into the building. At the same time, you wait in your vehicle, even during this difficult time, the staff was very professional, friendly, and took extra precautions (wearing gloves and masks). Very reasonably priced. Thank you to everyone at The COVE for taking care of Brewer.

Specialty Care When Your Pet Needs It The Most
I am so thankful that I found The COVE. All of the staff members that I’ve met have been amazing with my cat Coconut. They have done such a great job keeping me informed and explaining everything thoroughly. My cat has severe heart disease and has needed seriously intensive care. The COVE staff literally saved his life and have given me more time with my baby, the time I thought I wasn’t going to have before bringing him here. I absolutely LOVE Jacqueline Nobles, DVM, DACVECC and Merrilee Small, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology) and I feel very safe knowing that they are taking care of my baby.

A Peaceful Goodbye
We are so thankful for The COVE. In the middle of the night, we had to bring our very sick dog in and it was apparent he wasn’t going to make it. During the COVID-19 pandemic, no one is allowed to go inside the hospital with their pet. However, once we chose euthanasia, the staff escorted my husband to a room with our dog, and they were together the entire time until he passed. When we buried our dog at home, we were afraid of what we would see when we opened the box. But The COVE staff did an excellent job at positioning him so looked completely at peace. We hope never to have another emergency to where we would need to go back to The COVE, but I thank them for the quality of care they gave us.
