Our family had our first, and hopefully last, iggy injury yesterday evening. The pups were playing with both of their human sisters in the room when, in the middle of zoomies, Maka got her leg under the couch and couldn’t get it out before Krona ran into her. It was completely unavoidable.
We scooped her up and got her to The COVE once we saw that she wasn’t weight bearing (Maka screams all the way). The staff was very decisive and gentle with her. The first thing they did was triage, and then gave her pain meds, which made her, and me, much calmer. After the x-rays determined there was no fracture, they snuggled her a bit more and sent her home with antinflammatory meds and a light sedative. We were told many times to call anytime with questions or concerns. We will recommend The COVE to everyone. Thank you for taking such good care of our baby girl!
Today, I am having a hard time convincing her that she is injured.
