“No one ever hopes to need an emergency vet. But if I do again, I will go to the COVE. The staff were caring and knowledgeable. They communicated well and in a timely manner. The whole experience was as good as an emergency can be. I recommend them. I did call before I drove there, as my dog was having breathing issues. They had a file waiting and took her back immediately upon arrival. A big thank you to the staff for compassion.”

“I am so thankful that I found The Cove. All of the staff members I’ve met have been amazing with my cat, Coconut & have done such a great job keeping me informed & explaining everything thoroughly. My cat has severe heart disease & has needed serious intensive care. “I was referred to The COVE because one of my cats needed to stay and be monitored for 48 hours, and the emergency vet nearest to me is not able to provide overnight care. It is a challenge to find a vet who can provide 24/7 emergency services, but I was also impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. They checked in twice daily with updates and were available at any time of day if we had any questions or needed to check in. Thank you for taking such great care of our fur baby!”

“I am so thankful for The COVE and their staff this morning. I called two separate vet offices, each telling me they could not see my dog for an emergency visit, before I finally reached the COVE. While the COVE was by no means the closest option for me, I was so thankful for their willingness to see me on such short notice. As soon as I hung up the phone with them, I rushed right over. They were extremely kind and welcoming, which I truly appreciated as I was in a state of distress. Following their evaluation of my pet, they determined that the condition was serious and required a specialist. They set up the appointment for me and told me to head right over. I was so thankful they didn’t just send me away and say they couldn’t help. No, in fact, they said, while they couldn’t help me there, they knew someone who could, and got me in with them right away. I am just so thankful for their services and their kindness and compassion in my time of need.”

“The COVE helped us when no one else could. My Nala girl shattered her back leg, and we took her to COVE for emergency care, surgery, and post-operative care. We have worked with them for over two months, and I can say that they are truly passionate, professional, and the best for your pet. No other clinic in the Hampton Roads area could see Nala for weeks, even with an open fracture. The COVE took her in for surgery the day after her accident, and was very thorough, informative, and would even call us to check on her during recovery. It is important to acknowledge how overworked and understaffed vet clinics are, and they truly do their best with what they have. So grateful to everyone at The COVE!”
